Terms for drivers

Locksmith100 is a directory, not a locksmith. It's free for you, and your contract for the job is with the locksmith you choose.

Draft, under legal review. These terms are being checked by a UK solicitor and are not yet in force. The operator's name, address and contact details are placeholders.

Draft of 26 October 2026.

1. What we do

We help you find a local auto locksmith. You can call or WhatsApp a locksmith directly, or send a request that goes to at most 3 verified locksmiths who cover your postcode, who may reply with a price.

2. The contract is with the locksmith

If you hire a locksmith, your contract for the job is with them, not with us. They set the price, do the work and are responsible for it. You pay them directly. We don't take payment for jobs.

3. Free for you

Using Locksmith100 costs you nothing. Locksmiths pay us: verified members pay a monthly fee and buy credits to reply to requests.

4. Verified and not verified

“Verified” means the locksmith passed our checks: photo ID, public liability insurance, a basic DBS certificate and a test call. It is not a guarantee of their work. Businesses marked “Not verified” are listed free from public sources and we haven't checked them. Verified locksmiths always come first.

5. Before work starts

Agree the total price, including call-out and VAT. Expect to be asked for proof that you own the vehicle.

6. Reviews

You may leave a review after contacting a locksmith through us. It must be honest and about your own experience. We publish good and bad reviews, and we remove reviews that are fake, abusive or unlawful. Our reviews policy has the details.

7. Using the site fairly

Don't send fake requests or use someone else's number.

8. Our responsibility

We take care to check verified locksmiths and keep the site accurate, but we are not responsible for the work a locksmith does or what they charge. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer, including against the locksmith.

9. Problems

If something goes wrong with a locksmith you found here, tell us at [contact email]: we will look into it and may suspend them.

10. Your data

Our privacy notice explains what we keep and why, and the cookies page what we store on your device (for a driver, nothing).

11. Who we are, and the law

Locksmith100 (https://www.locksmith100.co.uk) is run by [Operator legal name] (trading as Locksmith100), [registered address]. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
